Most people know dogs can't have chocolate, but there are 5 other foods you may think your pet could eat but could be deadly.

-Avocados.  A toxin called persin can cause major problems for birds, rabbits, and horses.  These animals could experience lung problems and heart damage.  In cats and dogs, avocados usually cause digestive issues.

-Onions and Garlic.  Your cat's red blood cells could be damaged.  It's more of a problem if they eat onion or garlic powder.

-Sugar-Free Gum.  Sugar-free gum has an ingredient called xylitol.  Xylitol tricks a dog's body into thinking they just consumed a lot of sugar so their body releases a large amount of insulin to compensate.  A dog can die if their blood sugar drops too low.

-Grapes and Raisins.  Some dogs can eat them and be fine others can have kidney failure.  There is no way to know how your pet will react.

-Raw Dough.  Yeast is dangerous for all pets.  It can rise when they are trying to digest it.  It also produces alcohol which can be deadly.

Remember, what's good for you is not always good for your pet.
