Witness: Armed Male Seen In Downtown Lafayette Parking Garage

Lafayette Police are looking for a suspicious male in Downtown Lafayette, according to Cpl Bridgette Dugas. No other information has been given, but a witness on the scene says an armed individual was seen on the 2nd floor of the parking garage.

This comes after reports into the KPEL newsroom say police have shut down part of Downtown Lafayette. It's happening now near the intersection of Vermilion and Jefferson Streets. If you can avoid that area at this time, please do so.
