Willie Nelson Gives Up Smoking Weed

Yup, you heard that right: Willie Nelson has given up smoking weed.

A long-time advocate for the legalization of marijuana and having been arrested for possession (even in Louisiana in 2006), don't let this make you think that he'll be giving up getting high altogether.

According to TMZ, Nelson, in a recent interview with KSAT-TV, admitted that he no longer smokes marijuana.

I have abused my lungs quite a bit in the past, so breathing is a little more difficult these days and I have to be careful. - Willie Nelson, KSAT-TV/TMZ

Citing health concerns, Nelson says that, though he no longer smokes weed, he still consumes cannabis through edibles and admits that he still vapes.

I see no problem with anyone his age (86) who wants to consume in a controlled environment. Just don't get behind the wheel of a bus. Especially in Louisiana.
