Since Wednesday of this week, we drove by the Youngsville Sports Complex each day and noticed that all of the lights were on.

First off, kudos to the City of Youngsville for building the sports complex; I for one think that extra-curricular activities like these help kids grow into responsible adults.  Also, kudos to the Youngsville City Council for considering a "No Smoking" ordinance for the park.

Now, on to the subject of this post:  I don't know if the construction guys are having a hard time seeing in the daylight, or if there is a "test" in progress, but I, for one, was taught to conserve energy.  We drove by the park every day since Wednesday, and the lights were always on, day or night.

Does anyone know if these light switches are to be left in the "ON" position perpetually?  Maybe there is a period of time the lights need to be left on to "break them in", so-to-speak.

I don't know, I'm just a concerned citizen.  Do you know?
