I love James bond movies! The fact that the franchise has lasted more than 50 years would indicate I'm not alone. Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Sean Connery, in my not necessarily objective opinion. The men chosen to portray 007 over the years have slotted well into the culture and social climate of their time. Connery's character would probably be considered terribly sexist by today's standards. Ian Fleming felt he was too unsophisticated for the role. Connery's relationship with executive producer Albert "Cubby" Broccoli was contentious. Each successive Bond seemed well suited for the role in the time period in which they portrayed the super spy, except George Lazenby. He was terrible. Craig originally signed a five picture deal. Last year's "Spectre" was his fourth. He announced his desire to make it his last.

"I'd rather slit my wrists than play James Bond again."  - Daniel Craig

The Bond franchise has been worth billions to Sony Pictures. They reportedly want Craig back...Badly. A report from radaronline says they're offering him $150 million to return for 2 more films. Each successive James Bond has been carefully chosen. Executives reportedly feel Craig's appearance in 2 more films would make the next transition smoother than if he bails now.
