On Wednesday, "Wheel Of Fortune" had it's first ever special needs contestant.  21-year-old Trent Girone from Arizona.

Hats off to "Wheel Of Fortune" for pitting a special needs individual against other contestants who weren't, showing the world that people with special needs are highly functioning individuals and shouldn't be treated differently.

Girone suffers from Asperger's and Tourette's.  He didn't win, but he did solve two puzzles that were pretty tough, and went home with over $2,000.  Girone has loved "Wheel" since he was 2-years-old and stated that his experience on the show was one of the best experiences of his life.
