Dramatic Video Shows People Running During Shooting at Mardi Gras Parade
(Clinton, Louisiana) - Another video from Clinton has surfaced on social media that shows many running for cover as shots rang out during a recent Mardi Gras parade.
Last weekend, we reported that up to six people were shot during a parade in Clinton, Louisiana, and now we have another video from the scene.
As people were dancing in the streets and having a great time for the annual Mardi Gras parade, several rounds of bullets were fired, striking several people there having a good time. One child was severely injured in the shooting.
WBRZ posted a video from the scene, and as soon as the shots rang out, you see people running and screaming. Sadly, these people were there to have a good time, and it was all ruined by the individuals who pulled the trigger.
East Feliciana Parish Sheriff Jeff Travis says that three people have been arrested in this shooting, including a 16-year-old who will be tried as an adult.
According to the Sheriff's Department post on social media:
"Arrested were Noah Basquine, 19, of Ethel, and a 15 year old juvenile. Both are charged with principal to Obstruction of Justice, Attempted Second Degree Murder and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm at a Parade or Demonstration. The third suspect Jascent Scott, 26, of Baker, was charged with Illegal Carrying of a Weapon and two counts of Resisting an Officer."
Then an update on the juvenile arrest was posted by the Sheriff's Department, and it read:
