Over one million people on Instagram have watched two men in an SUV on a lonely road, unleash a beautiful husky and drive off as the dog runs behind the car. This happened in Horizon City, Tx. about 20 miles from El Paso, but unfortunately, this kind of thing happens all over the country every day including here in Acadiana.

Dog rescuer, Joy Dominguez, recorded the pet being abandoned, captured the husky and called the El Paso Sheriff Department. The husky was taken to the sheriff's department, then to Huckleberry Hound Dog Rescue of El Paso.

After watching the video, the El Paso Sheriffs Department arrested 68-year-old Luis Antonio Campos on suspicion of animal cruelty.

Campos told KFOX 14 that he was trying to "relocate" the dog away from his neighborhood because the dog had killed his neighbor's dog and destroyed his neighbor's garden.

The second man in the video has also been arrested. He is 17-year-old Moises Soto.

The good news is that a new family has adopted the handsome husky and they have given him a new name...Nanook.
