Vermilion Parish Deputies Searching for Missing Woman, Truck Found Crashed
Officials with the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office say they are looking for a woman who has not been seen since early Monday, September 11.
Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon says they have an active search going on for 49-year-old Bobbie Jo Saltzman. This woman was last seen early Monday morning in the Indian Bayou area, but later that same morning sheriff's deputies say her truck was found crashed on Pressley Road in Maurice.
Officials say Saltzman has multiple tattoos:
- She has the name "David" tattooed on one arm.
- She has a picture of a blooming rose tattooed on her right arm.
- She has a tattoo of a rose on one foot.
- She has tattoos of three names, "Chad", "Claryssa" and "Elaine" on her shoulders.
Saltzman was last seen wearing a brown floral top which is the same one that can be seen in the picture with this story. In addition, she was also wearing burgundy shorts and a pair of lime-green Crocs.
She is described as being five feet, four inches falling, and weighing about 300 pounds.
The vehicle she was driving has been described as a white Nissan Frontier crew cab truck.
The last time anyone saw Saltzman was around 3:40 Monday morning.
If you see her, you are asked to call the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-893-0871, or you can also call 337-898-4403. Her information has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person.
