UL Football Drops In Latest College Football Power Index

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have dropped a few spots in the latest ESPN College Football Power Index, which was released on Sunday.

Following a 17-7 setback to the Appalachian St. Mountaineers last Wednesday, one which snapped a four-game win streak, Louisiana dropped seven spots, to #59 in the ESPN Power Index.

This breaks a streak of four-straight weeks that the Cajuns have either climbed or remained the same in the Power Index.

The Cajuns return to action on Thursday night, when they travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas to take on the Arkansas St. Red Wolves in a key Sun Belt Conference affair.

The Power Index now projects Louisiana to win 9 games this season and ranks their remaining schedule as one of the easiest, listing it at #118 among 130 FBS schools.

Alabama is ranked atop the ESPN Power Index, with Ohio St., Clemson, LSU, and Wisconsin.

Appalachian St. is the highest-rated school from the Sun Belt Conference, at #51, followed by Louisiana.
