You can tour plots of restored Cajun Prarie September 7th in St. Landry Parish.

The Cajun Prairie Habitat Preservation Society will be touring the Duralde Restored Prarie beginning at 8am, and the Eunice Restored Prarie at 10am. Then, at noon, a presentation by Dona Weifenback: "Acadiana Native Plant Project - Propagating Native Plants, Learning Together As We Grow".

According to the Cajun Travel website:

The Cajun Prarie Habitat Preservation Society began as a project to restore a ten-acre plot of Cajun Prairie located in Eunice, Louisiana. The year was 1988 and volunteers used only local seeds and plugs collected from nearby remnants. Join the Cajun Prairie Habitat Society for the fall tour of restored prairies & remnants in the area. - Cajun Travel

There will also be a seed and plant auction and swap shop.
