Elon Musk's Tesla Motors will open it's first Louisiana based center.

According to Developing Lafayette, the Tesla Center will be built in New Orleans in a 16,000 sq ft of office and repair space, as well as 30,000 sq ft of warehouse space that will be able to hold 70 Tesla vehicles. The center will be at the corner of Tchoupitoulas St. and Washington Ave.

If you weren't aware, due to legislation, there are many states that ban Teslas from being sold directly to customers. You can, however, purchase the vehicle online or over the phone, and have it delivered to a Tesla delivery center, a la the one that will be built in New Orleans. As I'm sure you've figured out by now, Louisiana is one of those states that don't allow direct selling to customers.

There are currently only four states that allow direct sales, and 25 states that are without a Tesla presence at all.
