State Police have taken over the investigation.

Lafayette Police have arrested Michael A. Menard (52) of Lafayette and charged him with Armed Robbery.  Menard was identified by a Lafayette Police Department detective who recognized Menard from photos taken within Regions Bank on Johnston St. during yesterday's robbery.
