Super Advice That Will Save Your Thanksgiving Dinner
Sometimes, we come across wisdom in the most unexpected of places. Years ago, I was reading Superman #162 and found a solution to a problem we all face during the holidays.
Clark Kent is visiting his mom and dad in Smallville when the topic of the presidential election comes up. Tensions rise, and Pa Kent gives Clark a piece of advice that I think everyone should make a rule at their holiday dinner tables:
That pearl of wisdom has stayed with me for years, and I've used it to try and keep dinner with family and friends pleasant and joyful. There are much more important things to discuss during holiday meals, like catching up with relatives and friends, beloved memories of holidays past, and of course, the food! Take a break from talking about politics or religion or the news in general, and make the most of that precious holiday time with those you love.
