Americans are shopping online this holiday season and we're doing so in record numbers.

Cyber Monday has always been a huge day for online shopping, but in 2024 those who shopped online set a record for the amount of money spent on one day of shopping.

Let's face it, many are now shopping from the comfort of their home or offices, and that isn't changing anytime soon. However, there still are some who enjoy going from store to store, and I am one of those.

Still, online is a way of life now and so many local stores and boutiques offer their customers this convenience and we encourage you to shop local when you can.

Now, let's get back to Cyber Monday. You may have noticed in your office on Cyber Monday that there were a lot of office doors shut, and I doubt that it was because of meetings.

Hundreds of thousands of people were shopping while at work, and once they got home on Cyber Monday.

According to CNN, Cyber Monday for 2024 was officially the biggest online shopping day ever in the United States.

If you're curious, Americans spent $13.3 Billion on Cyber Monday and at one point Monday night, Americans were spending $15 million per minute.

As for what we were buying most online while there were sales and discounts, we were buying televisions, wireless headphones, computers, and games (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the game in most demand).

So if you shopped online for Cyber Monday, you've contributed to a record-breaking day of sales online. Now, let's get back to the shopping and we hope you have a great and joyous holiday season, and remember to shop local this season.
