St. Landry Shooting Suspect Wanted

OPELOUSAS—A Lafayette man is wanted in Saint Landry Parish on an attempted second-degree murder charge.

According to Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux, Daveon Finley shot a man on Orchid Drive in August. Thibodeaux says that shooting happened after Finley and the victim got into an argument on social media. Investigators say surveillance video from victim’s home shows Finley driving up to the home, getting out of the car, and shooting the victim with a shotgun when the victim walked out of his house.
