“Shelby The Persian” Is A Cat Comedian Superstar

"Shelby The Persian" is cat comedian superstar. She's the most relatable diva with a wardrobe ladies can only dream of. She has over 40,000 followers on her Instagram page and has gained attention from a couple of viral video pages on facebook such as Viral Thread and Unilad. She was featured on USA Today's online channel, as well as being on a show in the U.K. called Make You Laugh Outloud - Cat Edition. Shelby's owner, Erin Seilhan, is contacted very often to promote products, but she typically will stay away from that unless it's a great product that falls in line with content that she tries to produce. Shelby is about to be featured in a documentary from a Canadian Network about cats around the world. One of Shelby's biggest endorsements is "Pet Winery". It’s a liquid treat for cats & dogs that has ingredients like salmon oil (which helps keep an animal's coat or fur healthy) and other types of nutrients that are good for animals. They advertise it as cat wine or “bark brew” to make it funny. Shelby promotes a lot of products and they have a continuous collaboration deal. Between Shelby's Facebook page and Instagram she is social media queen.

Erin got Shelby from a couple who already had another cat and two dogs, and they didn't have much time for her. She was about a year old and in horrible health, weighing only 2 pounds and infested with fleas. Erin reached out to her best friend who is also a veterinarian and she helped get Shelby back to good health.

After having her for a few years, there was an internet cat sensation that blew up when Grumpy Cat became famous and Erin thought that Shelby had a unique look and that she, too, could become famous. Erin started an Instagram account for Shelby but didn't do much with it for a few years. After several years of her Instagram not getting much attention, she decided to start posting one photo per day. Most of them were random photos of Shelby in funny outfits. After about 10 months, it grew to 10,000 followers. Around that time, Erin decided to post something relatable, much like many of the regular funny content that we all see circulating on the internet, and it started trending.

Erin knew from that moment that was going to be what made Shelby famous and she needed to continue to post funny and relatable content driven by whatever was trending at the time such as entertainment news, politics, or the latest trends. That's when she developed a "character" of Shelby, a diva who tells it like it is and a lover of alcoholic beverages. She also loves to check her social media on her smartphone, loves to lay out at the pool, hates to clean, loves to watch tv and eat, just like most women. Erin would then start to comprise all of those elements into each of her posts. After doing that, her following doubled to 20,000 only 2 months later, then grew to 30,000 another 2 months after that. And now, she's at more than 40,000 followers.

Ms. Shelby loves holidays and always gets into the spirit. She jumps at any chance she gets to dress up. It's always a treat to see what her Halloween costume will be each year.

All the single guys need to know that Shelby is taken. Seymour, known as @heyseymour on Instagram, is Shelby's boyfriend. They first started flirting with each other on their Instagram pages and then eventually met. Seymour made a post saying that he wanted to ask someone out to be his girlfriend and that it was another popular cat. Needless to say, all the fans wanted to know who he was referring to. Once they found out it was Shelby, the fans started posting that they were boyfriend & girlfriend. Seymour and Shelby are still going strong in their relationship. She often refers to him as "Bae".
