The New Orleans Saints have struggled through back to back to back 7-9 seasons. They broke the .500 mark for the first time since 2013 with a 52-38 win over the Lions last Sunday. The wild, crazy game was head coach Sean Payton's 103rd win as an NFL head coach. That moves him ahead of the legendary Bill Walsh for #43 on the NFL all time wins list. Walsh is remembered as one of the most innovative coaches in NFL history. He was one of the pioneers of the modern passing game that has moved the league past the "3 yards & a cloud of dust" era. Payton remarked after the game he was "trying to be happy" about the victory, but expressed concern over the team's erratic play in the second half. He said of walsh, " "He has a lot of Super Bowls. He was a huge influence in our game. He's a special guy."
