Woman Says She Saw Sasquatch in Southern Louisiana

(Westlake, Louisiana) - A woman doing yard work just north of Westlake and Lake Charles, Louisiana, says that she saw a Sasquatch in the woods.

A post on a social media page for the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BRFO) states that the woman recently entered the woods on her property when she saw a creature that she says was on two legs running through the water.

The sighting allegedly happened at 8 pm, as there was just enough light for her to see what was moving through the woods.

According to the report by the BRFO, the eyewitness in Louisiana said: “As I came around a fairly large tree, I saw a very large dark thing standing upright as it took off, crashing through vines and palmettos.”

Since that one sighting, the woman says she has not seen "Bigfoot" again, but that her pets have been acting very strangely and are reluctant to stay outdoors now.

BFRO Founder and President Matthew Moneymaker, who is a key fixture on the hit series "Finding Bigfoot" on television, says that with so many wild animals in the area, he doesn't doubt that there is a Sasquatch lurking in this part of South Louisiana.

As you may expect, some comments under the post from the BRFO support the woman's alleged sighting, as some claim to have seen the mysterious creature around Westlake, too. Until then, for all of us in South Louisiana, we'll keep our eyes and ears open for our potential sighting.
