If it ain't Covid it's Coli, here we go again. Over 1000 Walmarts have recalled romaine lettuce for possible E. coli contamination. This includes Louisiana Walmart stores. The Food and Drug Administration is warning Walmart shoppers in 22 states to not eat romaine lettuce packaged by Tanimura & Antle on particular dates.

The California based company has issued a voluntary recall on its packaged romaine lettuce with a "packed on" date of 10/15/20 or 10/16/20. The lettuce in question is packaged under the name Tanimura & Antle.

The possible contaminated lettuce was shipped out in cartons to Walmart stores in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Puerto Rico.

We are asking that if any of the packaged single head romaine described above is in the possession of consumers, retailers or distributors, the product be disposed of and not consumed.-Tanimura & Antle
