If you are going to evacuate for Hurricane Delta, KATC's Rob Perillo has a suggestion for you, go north, way north.

In a video posted on Facebook Tuesday night, Rob suggested that you don't want to just relocate to Ville Platte or Alexandria if you are heading north.

The Senior Meteorologist advised his viewers to get to Shreveport or Dallas, but not just to VILLE PLATTE.

Many on the social media platform got a laugh from Rob saying not to just stop in Ville Platte, but to rather keep driving north.

Personally, I've evacuated to Evangeline Parish in the past and I swear that the hurricane-force winds were stronger there than south of I-10.

If you are evacuating for Hurricane Delta please be safe out on the roads and remember to charge your cell phones while in transit.
