A familiar voice is joining the new line-up on 99.9 KTDY in Lafayette. Rob Kirkpatrick will take over the weekday afternoon drive timeslot starting on Monday, May 8th. Rob will also host the 5 O'clock Traffic Jam daily at drive time. The exciting news comes after a brand-new morning show was launched featuring Chris Reed and Bernadette Lee. Rob brings a deep appreciation for the culture in Acadiana and a strong connection to the people. He's a part of Leadership Louisiana Class XXXVI and is in the middle of a year-long program crisscrossing the state.

It didn't take Rob long to get back into the groove. Just this month he hosted Maddie's Footprints Masquerade fundraiser and last week's Rhythms on the River in River Ranch featuring Louisiana Red.

Rob says he is thrilled with the opportunity to return to the airwaves in Lafayette—the market where he got his start in broadcasting. He has been a fixture at community events and fundraisers for years and serves on several local non-profit boards.

I’m so excited to rejoin the Townsquare Media team in Lafayette. KTDY is an Acadiana tradition along with the many great people who have called the station home over the years. I am honored to be a part of this new ‘era’. My sincere hope is that I can showcase the best of Acadiana and the people who make this area great.

Rob Kirkpatrick is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He comes to KTDY with many years of broadcasting under his belt. Rob has spent time at KATC in Lafayette, FOX Television, CNN, and was the co-host of Acadiana’s Morning News on Townsquare Media’s NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL. He’s interviewed countless newsmakers and celebrities over the years, including Garth Brooks ahead of his record-breaking 5 show run at the Cajundome.

He has also been involved in EatLafayette with Lafayette Travel and other events showcasing the Acadiana culture.

Rob lives in Lafayette with his wife and two daughters who keep him very busy. He will be based out of the Townsquare Lafayette studios.
