‘Random Act of Kindness Week’ is February 14-20
Next week, February 14 – 20th is ‘Random Acts of Kindness Week’. Wednesday, February 17, is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. Acadiana, start lining up some really great ideas to celebrate next week by being kind. Yes, we should ALWAYS be kind, but we have to go above and beyond next week, especially on Wednesday. It makes perfect sense to kick it off on Valentine’s Day.
It’s been a rough year with the pandemic, loss of jobs, bad economy, and quarantining. That may have a lot to do with why so many people are grumpy and on-edge. That’s why Random Acts of Kindness Week means so much now more than ever. Maybe the kindness shown next week will make you feel so good that it will inspire you to be kind more often.
Random Acts of Kindness week is an annual tradition. According to the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, scientific evidence shows us the positive effects of doing kind acts for others, as well as receiving or even witnessing kindness. Imagine what the world would be like if each person did ONE kind thing for someone else. Even the smallest act of kindness can change a life.
