Police Officers in Louisiana Attacked by Hornets During Manhunt
A few police officers are recovering after being stung by hornets during a manhunt in Louisiana.
Slidell Police report that they were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle when the suspected thief exited and entered a wooded area.
Police, along with a K-9 Officer, entered the swampy area and that is when two officers and the K-9 were stung by hundreds of hornets.
The officers that were attacked by the hornets were rushed to the hospital and later released.
As for the K-9, it was taken to a veterinarian and treated for the stings. Luckily the K-9 did not suffer from any swelling and has since been released.
The suspect remained at large into the evening hours according to the Slidell Police Dept.
