Police Agency in Louisiana Shares Hilarious Message During Winter Storm
Social media is a great tool for getting messages out during natural disasters and storms, and one police agency in South Louisiana added some comedy to their post during the winter storm.
As snow was falling and ice was building up on roadways for the 2023 winter storm in Acadiana, the Carenco Police Department had a few things they felt they needed to say or announce, and while the message was important, it was also constructed in a comedic way.
I don't know if you've noticed in recent years, but several police agencies have loosed up on social media and some of the accounts are adding a funny twist to their important messages, like what the Carencro PD did recently.
In their viral post, which has been shared over two thousand times on Facebook, the police agency in Lafayette Parish acknowledged that they received several domestic calls while snow was accumulating, and they asked for people to be civil and behave for a few more days, then they could go separate ways.
In the same post on social media, the Carencro PD reminded people not to call them and ask if they had to report to work on certain days, while roads were still frozen.
It gets better some in Carencro were calling 911 to ask for hello with busted pipes, which led the police department to say, "Our officers are not equipped to repair pipes."
While some of this was entertaining, the agency did remind people not to walk on the roads even if they were covered in snow and they reminded people in the city that ATVs were not allowed on roadways even if they were closed at the time.
