Pilot Captures ‘Unidentified Aerial Phenomena’ Over Pacific Ocean
A few pilots flying over the Pacific Ocean saw something strange enough to persuade one of them to whip out his phone and start filming.
According to the Tribune India, the pilots shot the footage from an altitude of 39,000 feet. As you can see in the video, it appears to 12 objects moving through the air. Not only are they moving on the screen from left to right in formation, but the "rows" of objects are moving WITHIN the formation.
It seems that, as the objects move within the formation, one object disappears from the end of each row and then reappears at the top of that row.
Watch the video from Youtube below to see the movement.
Some of the comments on the video are from people who are certain it's a hoax, others with (what seem to be) valid explanations for the objects, and others who are certain the end times are a'comin'.
TaPharoah claims to know the specific origin of the objects, and then starts spouting ideas for which he/she will probably be ridiculed.
DRMadelt thinks that the explanation may very well already be in our Aircraft Identification Handbooks, but Al sets him straight in short time.
badopinionsrighthere offered an explanation that had entered my mind when I first saw the clip, but I had come into the clip in the middle, so I missed the zoom. Again, it's Al who debunks the explanation.
R S says that humans or drones could do what we are seeing. Found at Sea points out the improbability of that explanation.
Remember me mentioning "the end times are a'comin'? Well, here you go.
So, what do you think about the clip? A hoax? Edited?
Or are we not alone?
The things that make me doubt the clip include:
- The pilots are not identified
- The type of aircraft they were flying was not identified
- No specific date/location
- The way the objects fade away near the end of the clip
I can understand why the pilots would not want to be identified, but a more specific location, a general description of the aircraft (military? civilain? corporate? passenger jet?) could lend some credence to the story.
As for the objects fading away: maybe they were getting into the clouds?
Service Guru over on ChillzTV's Twitter feed has the best explanation yet:
Three aircraft, flying abreast, dropping military flares at the same time would probably create this very circumstance. Maybe the explanation is just that simple!
