Once again this year, Mardi Gras and Ragin' Cajuns baseball collide.

And, the UL administration wants to make sure fans and parade goers alike know the plan for taking care of both sets of crowds.

Mardi Gras weekend is February 22-24 and that weekend Virginia Tech comes to M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park for a three game series.

For that series, fans are encouraged to check parade times as both Bertrand Drive and Reinhardt Drive will be closed when parades are rolling.  Reserved parking will be honored when the roads are open.  General Parking will be in the grass area around Reinhardt Drive and overflow parking will be in Mardi Gras Parking.  Fans will be allowed to park in that area for free by showing a game ticket.

That weekend, general RV parking will not be available.  Fans who want to park their RV's must get a pass through the Mardi Gras Association via their website.  Parking during that weekend is controlled by the Mardi Gras Association and not the university.
