When Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors last July, they were the definitive favorite to win the NBA Championship. Monday night, they did.

Golden State defeated Cleveland 129-120, winning the series 4-1, led by Durant's 39 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. He was named NBA Finals MVP, as he scored 30 or more points in each of the 5 games.

"We did it," Durant said, when asked if he had any words for his mother by an ABC reporter. "I told you (his mother) when I was 8 years old. We did it."

They did it, and everyone expected them too.

Cleveland's one win in the series last Friday only delayed the celebration in Oakland by 72 hours.

Steph Curry added 34 points, 10 assists and 6 boards in the win, while Andre Igoudala added 20, drawing a defensive assignment on Cavs superstar LeBron James for a portion of the night.

James scored a game-high 41 points, pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and tossed out 8 assists in 47 minutes of play.

The NBA may have an issue with predictability, as Golden State is the overwhelming favorite again next season. At minus-200 as the odds-on favorites, the Warriors are the best preseason odds to win it all in NBA history.
