NOPD Searching For Man Dressed As Chewbacca In French Quarter

According to reports, police in New Orleans are looking for a street performer that is accused of stabbing someone in the French Quarter over the weekend. Identifying the alleged has been difficult for authorities, as he was dressed as Chewbacca at the time of the incident.

According to the above report, a disagreement between the street performer dressed as Chewbacca and another individual is what prompted the stabbing. The incident happened Saturday evening and was one of many violent incidents that occurred in The Big Easy over the weekend.

While a witness told police that the Chewbacca head fell off of the individual during the argument, they were only able to determine that it was a man in his 20's. The condition of the individual that was stabbed has not been disclosed.

NOLA is famous for street performers of all kinds and they are usually some of the most fun parts about visiting the French Quarter. While little details from the incident are currently available, it is a good reminder to be safe when traveling to New Orleans for a fun weekend.
