New Orleans Hotel Creates BCS Cocktails for LSU and Alabama

To spread the BCS 'Spirit' around, New Orleans' legendary Hotel Monteleone created two themed cocktails now available in the newly renovated Carousel Bar and Lounge. If you can't make it down to New Orleans to see LSU take on Alabama in person, maybe you can shake one of these up at home! I wonder which one will be the big seller? (wink!)

DEATH VALLEY COCKTAIL

1 ½ oz. Ketel One Citroen

½ oz. Bols Black Raspberry Liquor

½ oz. Crème de Violet

1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

½ oz. Simple Syrup

2-3 oz. Club Soda

Build in a 12 oz. Cocktail Glass. Roll in Boston Shaker to mix and garnish with a fresh lemon wedge.

CRIMSON TIDE COCKTAIL

1 ½ oz. Bar Sol Pisco

½ oz. Disaronno

1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

¼ oz. Agave Nectar

6-8 Drops Peychaud Bitters

2-3 Drips Fee Brothers Cranberry Bitters

4 oz. Club Soda

Build in a 12 oz. ice filled cocktail glass. Roll in a Boston Shaker to mix and garnish with a cherry.
