According to a post by KATC TV3, there have been several terrorist threats made against Rayne schools.

On Monday of last week, officials at Armstrong Middle School were alerted to threats made against that school. Emails from a 14-year old student of that school threatened bombing and a mass shooting. That 14-year old has been charged.

Another threat was made today, this one was a bomb threat via a telephone call to Rayne High School. Students and staff were evacuated, the campus was locked down and searched, but no bomb was found. An investigation into the matter is underway.

I remember the days in which the only threat to schools was a kid trying to blow up the school bus and burning his lips on the exhaust pipe. (Y'all remember that joke? Kids would probably get arrested today for telling it in the wrong place. We don't joke about that stuff any longer.)
