I was watching ABC News this week, and the story about "Made in America:  Where Do Your Goods Come From?" came on, and I was mesmerized, impressed, confused, and saddened, all within a few minutes of watching the segment.

Here is the gist of the story:  A typical middle-class American home is COMPLETELY cleared of anything NOT made in the USA.  All that was left in the home was a fish tank and a few odds and ends.  Then, the family (along with the ABC News crew) set out to refurnish their home with ALL AMERICAN MADE products.

The series points out that, in most cases, the American-made products were comparable (in price) to the imports.  The only item that was VERY difficult to find made in the USA was the coffee maker.

And interesting series, and one that compels me to ALWAYS look for a brand that is made in the USA!

There are a few different videos about the availability of products made in America, and a "How Does Your Home Compare" survey......  is your home USA-friendly?
