(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - LSU Quarterback Garret Nussmeier honored one of his late teammates at the 2025 SEC Media Day.

Decked out in a purple suit, the star quarterback for the Tigers honored Kyren Lacy, who wore number 2 as an LSU Tiger.

You may recall that Lacy tragically passed away in Houston, Tx, on April 12, 2025, after an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound during a police chase.

To show his respect for his former teammate and friend, Nussmeier had Lacy's number at LSU stitched to the inside of his jacket as the national media and local media zoomed in on him.

This isn't the first time and probably won't be the last time you see Nussmeier honor his fallen teammate, as he has been very supportive of him since his passing.
