Louisiana’s Randy Newman Among 2013 Rock Hall Inductees

Louisiana native Randy Newman will be inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall Of Fame

in 2013, along with a varied group of artists.

Several members of this year's class have been eligible for a number of years. Some of them must be feeling a sense of "It's about time!"  Legendary composer and producer Quincy Jones is reportedly unhappy that his selection has been so long in the making. I can't say I blame him. How many people have produced an album that sold 65 million copies worldwide, and yielded 7 top-10 singles? That's just one item on his LONG list of achievements. It remains a mystery to me that Chicago has never even been nominated.

Donna Summer, unfortunately didn't live to see this day. A couple of my longtime favorites, Heart & Rush are among the class of 2013. Congratulations to all!
