Louisiana Meteorologists and Residents Monitoring New Wave in The Atlantic
As we approach the peak of hurricane season, many in Louisiana have all eyes on the Atlantic and now another wave is being closely monitored.
If you live along the Gulf Coast anytime a wave is highlighted or an area of disturbed weather is being monitored, it can increase your anxiety. Well, we're here to tell you that a lot can happen in a week and we just mention this in hopes that you put it on your radar.
Early preparation can ease your anxiety during hurricane season and having a plan can save you a lot of headaches in the event of a storm impacting your area.
Now, let's get to the latest in the Atlantic and this wave seems to be the next thing meteorologists will be zooming in on in the days ahead.
Early indications show this area of disturbed weather slightly impacting the East Coast or perhaps even staying out in the Atlantic. But again, if you live along the Gulf Coast you want to monitor any potential threats during hurricane season.
Much of the East Coast is still feeling the impact of Hurricane Debby and more rainfall along the East Coast could be devasting for those who reside in that part of the country.
Again, we are days out, but this may be something we want to watch as we get closer to the weekend and early next week.
For those in Louisiana, we have this high pressure sitting over us, and this does act as a form of protection when storms are knocking, however, high pressure doesn't last forever, thus we should also anticipate change in the forecasts.
Here's a quick look at the area of disturbed weather that will be watched closely as we wrap up the week. It's nothing to panic about, but we do want you to be aware of what could be lingering.
