We can deny it it 'til we're blue in the face, but it's human nature to judge. Don't buy that? Spend a few minutes on social media. It's a gauntlet of judgement and criticism. Making people like us is important. Failure to do so can adversely affect your career & almost every aspect of our lives. Here are 7 tips from forbes.com.

#1: If you're on a date, or job interview, your counterpart will take notice of how you treat waitstaff & receptionists. Being respectful & polite only to "important" people will send you spinning down in flames.

#2: Leave your phone in your pocket. Need I say more about that?...Really?

#3: Avoid nervous habits like nailbiting, playing with your hair, etc. they make you look obsessive & self absorbed.

#4: Remember, being interested makes you interesting. Ask questions. Don't ramble on about you.

#5: Have a firm handshake.

#6: Be on time. Tardiness displays a disrespectful, cavalier attitude.

#7: Make eye contact, but don't stare.

A great resume' is no guarantee you'll get a job, or promotion. A less qualified individual my beat you out, because the interviewer likes them more. If you're on a first date & are rude to service personnel, there likely won't be a second.
