‘The Laundress’ Issues HUGE Recall of Its Cleaning Products
A popular laundry and cleaning agent company has issued a massive recall of some of its products.
According to Good Morning America, The Laundress issued a safety statement about its products back in November, urging customers to discontinue the use of the products.
The reason - the company found that the products contained "elevated levels of bacteria" and, acting out of an abundance of caution, issued the safety statement.
In the statement, the company promised an update in the near future.
That update came today in the form of a recall, and the list of recalled products is long, affecting over 8 million units.
Above the list of recalled products, The Laundress posted the lot codes that consumers need to discontinue use and dispose of immediately.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products in the list below with lot codes beginning with a prefix letter F and the last four digits numbered 9354 or less, H and the last four digits numbered 2262 or less, and T and the last four digits numbered 5264 or less. - The Laundress Recall
According to an Instagram post, The Laundress said that the bacteria that may be found in the recalled products include:
- Burkholderia cepacia complex
- Klebsiella aerogenes
- multiple different species of Pseudomonas
The company also said that the bacteria that may be in its products could enter the body and cause serious infections in those with certain medical conditions. They also state that people who are healthy with healthy immune systems are usually not at high risk of being affected by these bacteria.
