Lafayette Police Seek Christmas Carjacking Suspect

Lafayette Police are looking for a man suspected of a Christmas night carjacking. On Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at approximately 7:42 pm, Lafayette Police responded to the 100 block of West Gloria Switch Road regarding a carjacking. The victim reported that she drove up to a gas pump and was exiting her vehicle, when the suspect approached and pushed her to the ground.  The suspect then stole the victim’s white 2001 Jeep Cherokee with Louisiana License plate WQZ047. The suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing. The victim received minor injuries. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
