The Bayou state finds itself ranked near the the bottom of another list. We already know car insurance premiums in our state are among the country's highest. That's a clear indication that we have a lot of unsafe drivers. The apple apparently doesn't fall far from the tree. A recently published survey by carinsurance.com ranks Louisiana's teen drivers as the third most dangerous in the nation. The report goes on to say 9 percent of teen drivers drink and drive. Nearly half (49%) text while driving despite public awareness campaigns, and the fact that texting while driving is illegal in Louisiana.
