Kim Cattrall Gained 20 Lbs. To Play ‘Monica Velour’ [VIDEO]

The 'Sex And The City' star wrangled with producers about her role as a washed - up pornstar. They wanted her to gain 30 lbs.

She wasn't willing to put on that much weight, so they compromised on 20. 'I didn't want to make myself sick'.

Cattrall says she doubts there will be a 'Sex And The City 3'. The second installment was very poorly received by critics and was a box office disappointment. Early reaction to her performance in 'Monica Velour'  appears to be mostly positive.   She plays a very different character from Samantha Jones.

'My early career was supporting my theater habit and there was no way I could pay a loan, nevermind my rent on what I was making in theater. Movies became a way for me to do that and I didn't take it quite seriously.' - Kim Cattrall
