Another parent of a Louisiana newcomer seems to be fitting right in among the Ragin' Cajun softball crowd.

Yesterday, we told you how the family of Louisiana first baseman Bailey Curry looks like their enjoying their first taste of the UL softball atmosphere.

One of the great things for fans is not only watching the players play, but also getting to know, and become friends with the family members of the respective players.

With that being said, we welcome Keeli's parents, Steve and Kari, along with her friends and family, to the UL softball family.

A speedy slapper and a left-fielder, Milligan will be a senior next season, after playing three years at Texas A&M.

A native of Vidor, Texas, Milligan hit a .307 last season for the Aggies, to go along with a .400 on-base percentage, while stealing 29 bases in 32 attempts.

As a freshman in 2016, Milligan hit a .379, while setting a school record with 54 stolen bases. For her efforts, she was named to the All-SEC Second Team and SEC All-Freshman Team, as well as being selected a top ten finalist for the Division I National Freshman of the Year award.

In 2017, as a sophomore, Milligan hit a .319, after being named to named to the National Player of the Year watch list before the season.

Milligan is now reunited with Louisiana head coach Gerry Glasco, who was an assistant at Texas A&M, during her first two seasons.

Milligan's ability to get on-base, steal a bag, and create havoc on the base paths, should help make the Cajuns the Sun Belt Conference favorites once again in 2019.
