Jennings Police Investigate Home Invasion and Assault
Just before 4 pm, yesterday officers with the Jennings Police Department were called to a location on Gallup Street in the city. The reason for the call was a reported home invasion and assault.
Upon arrival, Police questioned those with knowledge of the incident and they searched the area for evidence and clues. During that search, a firearm was discovered. That weapon was reported to be stolen.
JPD says they do have a suspect identified. An arrest warrant for that suspect has been issued. The warrant was issued based on potential charges of home invasion and aggravated assault with a firearm.
As of now, no arrests have been made but this is a developing story and more details are expected to be released later today.
