Louisiana Mother Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Evangeline Parish Teacher and Official
VILLE PLATTE, La. (KPEL News) - A Ville Platte mother has been arrested and charged after allegedly threatening a teacher and the assistant superintendent of the Evangeline Parish School Board following an internal investigation.
What Led to the Arrest?
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office reported that the incident stemmed from complaints made against a teacher, prompting an internal school board investigation. After the investigation concluded, 34-year-old Vashayla Skinner expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome, allegedly threatening both the teacher involved and the assistant superintendent with physical harm.
The threats were reported to authorities on November 6, and Skinner was arrested shortly after. She now faces two counts of assault on a school teacher. Her bond was set at $1,500.

The arrest highlights growing concerns in Evangeline Parish about tensions between parents and school officials. Sheriff Charles R. Guillory reiterated the importance of community members reporting criminal activity, emphasizing that all tips remain anonymous.
