Walk-On’s Expanding with Newest South Louisiana Location in the Lafayette Area
LAFAYETTE, La. – A new Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is set to open in the Lafayette area, bringing the latest design prototype of the beloved Louisiana-based sports bar and restaurant.
According to Developing Lafayette, the newest Walk-On’s will be located along the 3500 block of NE Evangeline Thruway, in front of Center Square shopping center. The development places it near popular businesses such as Great American Cookie, Marble Slab, Wing Stop, and The UPS Store.
This upcoming location will feature Walk-On’s newest prototype, designed to enhance both guest experience and efficiency. The updated model will feature a smaller footprint of around 5,300 to 5,500 square feet—nearly half the size of the original 10,000-square-foot design. Notable enhancements include a dedicated to-go space for convenience, improved acoustics for a better dining environment, and strategically placed televisions to maximize the sports-viewing experience.
Founded by former LSU basketball walk-on turned entrepreneur Brandon Landry, Walk-On’s quickly gained popularity for its Louisiana-inspired menu featuring signature dishes such as boudin balls, waffle cheese fries, hand-pattied burgers, and fresh seafood. Popular for game-day gatherings, Walk-On's has also been known for its extensive bar offering craft cocktails and local beers in a family-friendly atmosphere that blends familiar Cajun flavor with a sports bar experience.
According to Developing Lafayette, the new Lafayette-area Walk-On’s will be part of a 10-unit portfolio operated by Ten Eight Concepts, LLC, a locally owned franchise group managing locations across Louisiana and Texas. Led by Tony Caballero (President & CEO), Janelle Dufrene (CFO), Keegan Lanier (VP of Operations), and Cody Vercher (Director of Operations & Hospitality), the group continues to expand its presence in the Gulf Coast region.
Construction on the new location is expected to begin soon, with an anticipated opening in early 2026—possibly sooner if there are no construction delays.
