
Louisiana Man Dies in a Devastating Storage Container Fire
A Louisiana man is dead after dying in a fire that happened in a storage container. Office of the State Fire Marshal Chief Bryan Adams says that two deaths have happened in fires this week in the state.
Officials with the Oauchita Parish Fire Department were called out to a storage container that was on fire in the 500 block of Ernest White Road which is in West Monroe.
Firefighters got to the scene and began to fight the fire int he storage container when they learned the terrible truth. Someone had been using the storage container as temporary shelter. There was someone who had been living there.
Firefighters and other first responders did try to perform live-saving measures on the 40-year-old man, but unfortunately, the man died at the scene of the fire.
Louisiana State Fire Marshal Chief Bryan Adams says the investigation is ongoing, and right now, they do not know what caused the fire. There was no smoke alarm present in the storage container.
No information has been released on the identity of the man who was living there and perished in the fire.
