Hall and Oats, Daryl Hall and John Oates, are one of the most successful groups of the 1980s.

The song "Maneater" was released in 1982, and is one of the biggest hits of their career.

Maybe it did so well because they had a little Louisiana Ragin Cajun mojo on their side after Daryl Hall wore what appears to be a USL t-shirt for the cover of "Maneater".

 Hall & Oates USL T-Shirt

Recently, an eagle eyed member of the Lafayette Memories Facebook Page posted a photo of the cover to Hall & Oates' single "Maneater" asking the question "How is it that Daryl Hall has on a USL shirt?"

Lori Haiko, you've got us asking the same question.

It seems that Hall & Oates played USL's "Lagniappe Day" at Blackham Coliseum in the early 80s.

Obviously, it's now known as University of Louisiana's "Lagniappe Day".

In a recent thread on the Lafayette Memories Facebook page, the conversation started about what bands people have seen at "Lagniappe Day", and someone mentioned Hall & Oates.

Maybe this is where Daryl Hall got his USL t-shirt and why he's wearing it?

Take a look at the "Maneater" cover art below and let us know if you think he is indeed wearing and old school USL t-shirt.

Sure looks like it to us!
