The Tap Room Youngsville Announces Closure, Teases What’s Next
The Tap Room is preparing to close its Youngsville location at the end of August, but the local brand is already hinting that something new is on the way.
After opening in June 2023, The Tap Room announced that its Sugar Mill Pond location will serve customers for the final time on Sunday, August 30, as the company shifts its time and resources toward what it described as an "exciting new project."
The closure will leave The Tap Room's River Ranch location in Lafayette open, and the company tells us that employees from the Youngsville location will move to the Lafayette location.

The Tap Room Thanks Youngsville For Its Support
In announcing the decision, The Tap Room thanked the Youngsville community for supporting the business and the relationships built during its time in Sugar Mill Pond.
"While it's never easy to say goodbye, we are incredibly grateful to the Youngsville community for welcoming us and supporting The Tap Room," the company said in its announcement.
The team thanked customers for "every visit, every drink, every laugh, and every memory" while encouraging its Youngsville regulars to continue visiting The Tap Room in River Ranch.

The Tap Room Is Already Teasing What's Next
The announcement appears to be more than simply a restaurant and bar closure.
The Tap Room says the decision allows the company to shift its time and resources toward a new project. While details about that project remain scarce, the team tells us there are plans to expand the brand, with more information expected to be announced in the future.
"And as for what's next... stay tuned," the company said. "We have some exciting things ahead, and we can't wait to share more."
For now, customers have one final week to visit The Tap Room in Youngsville before its Aug. 30 closing date.

The Tap Room's River Ranch location will continue operating, and the Youngsville staff will transition there following the closure.
Whatever comes next for the local brand remains under wraps, but we'll be sure to update you on future moves from The Tap Room when more information becomes publicly available.
