Trip Advisor Ranks Louisiana Eatery a Top 10 for Date Night

(KMDL-FM) Date night, when you're young and single, means a night out in search of true romance and finding a lasting connection with a partner who might turn out to be the missing piece that the puzzle of your soul is missing. Or, if you're married, date night means we've got someone to watch the kids, which means we can enjoy a meal that doesn't involve fighting over the crayons and the chicken nuggets?

As someone who has long been in the "meal without chicken nuggets camp" for quite a while, I can tell you my dearly beloved and I still seek out great restaurants with incredible ambience and atmosphere for those times when we do choose to dine out and away from the offspring.

Like a lot of you, when we choose to dine in places we are not familiar with, we often use TripAdvisor. That website offers great feedback from real travelers and customers, as well as informed articles from travel experts who, in my opinion, offer a realistic view of each property or platform they review.

Which Louisiana Restaurants Earned Honors in TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Awards?

Every year, the folks at TripAdvisor offer a special selection of articles they call the Travelers' Choice Awards. The Awards are based on different criteria depending on the category. One of the categories I was interested in was the Best Date Night choices.

And wouldn't you know it, that of all the incredible places you can take a date anywhere in the United States, one of the top ten choices, according to TripAdvisor, is right here in Louisiana.

It's the only list that made TripAdvisors' Date Night List, but I will let you in on a secret: another Louisiana eatery made the One of a Kind List, but shh, we're not talking about that place right now.

What Is TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice For Best Date Night in Louisiana?

Instead, we're talking about a place known for its fresh ingredients and locally sourced options. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about the food, the menu, and the preparation. And the food is prepared as only it can be in the Big Easy at a place called G.W. Fins.

Located in DH Holmes at 808 Bienville Street in New Orleans, G.W. Fins has become a standard bearer for all that is good and good to eat in NOLA. They bill themselves as the place where the finest seasonal seafood meets culinary artistry in the Heart of New Orleans.

And according to the folks at TripAdvisor, it's also a great place to dine on a special evening out. By the way, if you do plan on making it an evening there, reservations are required.
