Shaking Out the Good Stuff: 16th Annual Atchafalaya Basin Festival on Sat, Nov. 9th

Mark your calendar for a great day of food, fun, and festivities. The 16th Annual Atchafalaya Basin Festival will be held this Saturday, November 9th, at Henry Guidry Memorial Park in Henderson, Louisiana.

One of the best things about this festival is that admission is free and there are activities for all ages. This annual event showcases the vibrant culture of the region all while supporting Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

The day starts bright and early at 7:00 am with the Gumbo and Courtbouillon Cooking Contest. You can then wander through booths featuring arts and crafts and browse items at the all-day silent auction. The spirited live auction will take place at 6:30 pm.

Throughout the day, festival-goers can enjoy a wide selection of food, drinks, beer, and wine, along with top-notch live music performances from local favorites:

T-shirts and souvenirs will be available for purchase. And, don't miss your chance to win a golf cart in the $5 raffle with the drawing at 10:00 pm.

There is an ancillary event happening in conjunction with the Atchafalaya Basin Festival. Courtesy Ford in Breaux Bridge will be hosting the second annual Veteran's Day Bronco Ride.

A caravan of riders in Ford Broncos, Jeeps, and vehicles of all makes and models will enjoy food and refreshments, door prizes, networking and fun, along with their own 2024 Bronco Ride commemorative t-shirt.

The group will disembark from the Courtesy Ford dealership in Breaux Bridge for a scenic drive through St. Martin Parish, making stops along the route to their destination -- The Atchafalaya Basin Festival in Henderson.

All proceeds from the ride will also benefit Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson.
