Major Louisiana Retailer Hiring Workers With Starting Pay Up to $24 Per Hour

If you are looking for a job, there is one national retailer with many stores in Louisiana looking to hire. And the pay is really good.

Target said it will be adding some 100,000 workers before the holiday season with pay of up to $24 per hour.

In a statement on its website, the Minnesota-based retail giant said the new hires will join their existing 400,000 employees in 2,000 stores and 50-plus supply chain warehouse positions.

Current employees will also be offered an option to work extra hours during the holiday. And more will be added to the 45,000-person On Demand team, which is a group of workers that can pick up extra shifts as desired.

The company had this to say in the statement:

We look forward to welcoming seasonal hires to Team Target, enabling us to continue building the best team in retail. Many seasonal team members — including more than half of last year’s — are offered an opportunity to stay with Target following the holiday season and continue spreading everyday joy to our guests year-round.

The company is already hiring for supply chain roles and candidates through the website Target.com/careers.

For stores positions, pre-recorded video and online interviews will be used. For supply chain positions, candidates will submit applications and online assessments.

What will the starting pay be for these seasonal positions?

Target says starting pay for positions will be $15-$25 per hour with access to health benefits and a 10% discount on Target merchandise.

What positions specifically are needed by Target?

In-store positions will include front-of-store attendants, online fulfillment, merchandising, food and beverage and clothing departments.

Order pick-up and drive-up employees are also needed. In supply chains, positions will include warehouse operation roles.
